Apple has lifted restrictions on selling games in its South Korea App Store, just in time for the impending release of the iPhone 4S. For the past few years, Apple has removed the games category amidst concerns about developers following rules requiring that titles be submitted to the country’s Games Rating Board. Earlier this year, South Korea dropped the prerequisite, paving the way for Apple and Google to offer mobile games. Although there are currently few Korean language titles available for download, that should quickly change as mobile developers begin rolling out games that have been prepared in anticipation. In the meantime, Korean iOS users can keep themselves busy by beating all the Angry Birds levels.
