Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a free PS5 Pro update on Wednesday.
  • Ray Tracing Pro, which targets 40fps on VRR-enabled displays or 30fps “otherwise”
  • Ray Tracing, which has “select ray tracing enhancements” and runs at 60fps
  • Performance, which offers up to 90fps on VRR displays “while maintaining high image fidelity”

Sony has officially confirmed what we knew about its RGB LED TV.

As expected from the trademark filing late last year, Sony’s RGB LED technology will be called “True RGB” and is coming this spring. The new TV (Bravia 10, or better yet, Bravia X?) has been impressive in demos. We’ll see soon how it compares to competitors’ RGB TVs this year.

Valve has released a native visionOS version of its Steam Link app in beta.

“This update improves network performance, allows streaming up to 4K resolutions, and allows you to dynamically adjust the curve of the display in panoramic mode,” Valve says. But the app doesn’t support VR content — it’s intended for streaming 2D games.

PlayStation is going to scan players into its games.

As part of a new initiative called The Playerbase, people can apply to have their likeness incorporated into PlayStation titles. Initially, one person will be selected to appear in Gran Turismo 7, but Sony says it looks forward to “expanding The Playerbase as additional PlayStation Studios participate.”

Feds end probe of Tesla’s ‘ASS.’

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration closed its investigation into Tesla’s Actual Smart Summon, or ASS, which allows owners to remotely control their vehicles from a smartphone app. The agency’s Office of Defects Investigation was probing an estimated 2.6 million vehicles with the parking feature after dozens of reports of crashes. But the agency closed the investigation after concluding that the risk of crash severity was low because the speeds were very slow.

Netflix is doubling down on One Piece.

Before Netflix’s live-action One Piece adaptation returns for a third season in 2027, the streamer will also debut a new One Piece Lego animated special this September, which will make a good companion for WIT Studio’s upcoming The One Piece anime remake series.
