Microsoft is holding an Xbox game dev update today, and a lot of gaming publications think that “a closer look at Project Helix” means it’s some kind of showcase. That’s not the case, as it’s just “a recap of our announcements from GDC,” according to Xbox’s Jason Ronald. “We will have more to share about Project Helix later this year.” You can follow along at 12PM ET / 9AM PT over at the Microsoft game dev YouTube channel, if you’re interested in Xbox game development.

Inferno, the long-awaited next album from Boards of Canada, doesn’t drop until the end of the month. But you can get a taste for it with this new music video, which I’ve had on loop for the better part of an hour already.

At 4.7mm (0.18in) thick and 499g (1.1lbs), the Huawei MatePad Pro Max is even thinner and lighter than the M5 iPad Pro. The new device comes with a 13.2-inch OLED display, with the option for an anti-glare PaperMatte screen. The MatePad Pro Max starts at £999.99 in the UK, but it’s unclear where else it will launch.

There’s a lot of sci-fi streaming this summer, but if you’re looking for something a little more intense, there’s always the latest iteration of Cape Fear. If nothing else, Javier Bardem looks appropriately terrifying in the new trailer, which should make it worth checking out when it starts streaming on June 5th.

Samsung’s updated take on Android first appeared on its S26 phones back in February, but it’s taken until now to reach older hardware. Flagship phones and tablets from the last two generations or so are the first eligible for the update, which is rolling out now in Korea, with other countries to follow.

The company is planning to discontinue certain consumer electronics products in the region — including home appliances and televisions — amid intensifying competition from domestic brands. Phone sales will be unaffected. As popular as Samsung TVs are, this goes to show they do struggle somewhere.

That’s what one actor said after a micro drama she starred in was promoted using AI clips of her in underwear. Multiple actors have had similar experiences, including ads featuring nude scenes and threesomes that they never shot. In the age of The Clippening, it doesn’t always matter if the content being clipped is real or not.

Following its acquisition by Elon’s other company, xAI is now being referred to as SpaceXAI. Presumably this is only the start of the brand synergy to come.
