You Can See Everything has the biggest opening weekend for a doc in 20 years.

Nathan Fielder’s three-hour documentary about Elizabeth Holmes raked in $15 million in its opening weekend. That’s double expectations and enough to place it in second place at the box office this weekend, behind only Street Fighter. What’s more, it’s the largest opening for a non-music or concert documentary since 2004’s Fahrenheit 9/11.

Nicolas Cage and Antonio Banderas will star in True Detective season five.

Cage will play Henry Logan, and Banderas will play Rai Garcia. The season will take place in Jamaica Bay, New York and beyond that, not much is known. The series is set to enter production in 2027, and showrunner Issa López will return after the reasonably well-received season four, Night Country.

Adam Mosseri says Instagram is ‘working out what to do’ about AI fakes.

It’s not just celebrity deepfakes that are plaguing social media. AI hot girl accounts are stealing comedians’ jokes, and painters are seeing AI versions of their process videos rack up millions of views. Mosseri says it’s “not practical” to ban AI, but it’s not sure how to handle content that isn’t copyrighted, like jokes.

Brits might be charged a fee to watch YouTube.

The Independent reports an upcoming government white paper will include plans to extend the UK’s £180 (about $240) annual TV Licence — which is required to watch broadcast TV, BBC iPlayer, and live TV on streaming services — to cover all online streaming content, including Prime Video, Netflix, Disney Plus, and YouTube. Yikes.

The Batman Part II is getting some help from Steven Soderbergh.

Production on the film has been paused while director Matt Reeves focuses on a family matter, but Steven Soderbergh offered to help with the “final weeks” of principal photography on the movie.

“Matt and Steven will work closely together with the actors and crew to fulfill Matt’s vision of the film,” according to a statement published by Deadline. The movie is scheduled to debut on February 18th, 2028.

As reported by Variety, the newly listed Skydance (SKYD) currently has a market cap of around $40 billion, which is less than half of the sum of the $77.7 billion and $11 billion market caps that Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount Skydance had before their merger.
