Musk hits theaters a little sooner.

Yesterday I wrote about the gigantic new Elon Musk documentary that comes out next month. If you can’t wait to sit in a theater for four hours to watch it, there’s good news, as the premiere date has been moved up a week to October 9th.

You can just watch stuff on JustWatch starting next month.

The popular streaming guide is launching its own streaming service, JustWatch TV, offering paid and ad-supported streaming and rentals. Users will be able to watch included shows and movies directly on its app and website, or through connected streaming services, which keep getting pricier.

Netflix is turning the Stanford prison experiment into a reality series.

First there was Squid Game: The Challenge, then there was Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket, and now Netflix is turning Stanford professor Philip Zimbardo’s highly unethical prison experiment into yet another deranged reality series.

Correction: The New Stanford Prison Experiment is an unscripted reality series, not a reality competition show.

Prime Video is bundling AMC Plus, BritBox, MGM Plus, PBS Masterpiece, and STARZ.

If you’ve been waiting to rewatch Project Hail Mary and the modern Doctor Who seasons like I have, this new bundle could make it a little less expensive even as prices for individual services keep climbing. It’s one of the biggest bundles on Prime Video, including all five streaming services for $29.99 per month.

Rock stars tease Rockstar game.

It’s no surprise that there will be plenty of music in Grand Theft Auto VI’s in-game radio stations, but now we have an idea of who exactly will be featured. Kotaku has compiled a list of artists — ranging from Keith Richards to Yung Lean — who have started teasing their participation.

Spotify’s letting you exclude your kids’ music from Wrapped.

A new settings toggle rolling out starting today excludes kids and family music from your taste profile and recommendations. With it turned on, your kids can listen to their music on repeat without it taking over your Spotify Wrapped, Discover Weekly, and Daily Mix.

Slice and / or dice.

There are some disappointing parts of Insomniac’s take on Wolverine — the flat narrative, the dull exploration — but if you’re in the mood for some pure superhero action, it definitely delivers. The game is out today on the PS5 and you can check out my full thoughts below.

Yes, Apple TV is the new HBO.

Apple just answered the question we raised in June by taking home 28 (plus one for an ad) Emmy awards, the most of any studio. It’s the first time Apple has come out on top thanks to its focus on tentpole titles like Pluribus and Widow’s Bay that created cultural moments this year.

Steve Ballmer won’t fight the NBA’s penalties.

Late Sunday night, the LA Clippers owner announced he and the team are complying with the league’s penalties for the whole jumbotron corruption scandal.

That includes paying a $30 million fine and a one-year suspension for Ballmer himself, not to mention what may come from ongoing SEC and DOJ investigations.

Steve Ballmer tweet screenshot reading: For my Los Angeles Clippers followers This has been a very difficult time for everybody associated with the Clippers, and for that, I have sincere regrets. I want to apologize to our fans, employees, and my fellow NBA team owners for the distraction and distress this matter has caused, for which I accept responsibility as principal owner. We are committing to put this chapter behind us. We have communicated to the NBA that we are complying with the penalties assessed by the league, have paid the fine, and are moving forward. While there are still disagreements concerning the findings in the report, this is not where I want to focus. Team owners should support, not distract. The challenges ahead of us are significant, but so is our resolve. We will continue to build our team and invest in our community. The confidence of our fans is our priority. With our talented roster, outstanding staff and clear vision, I am certain that we will compete at the highest level and be an organization our fans can be proud of.
