Roborock is adding LiDAR to its entry-level robo mower.

Unless you live on a sprawling, rolling estate there’s now less reason to splurge on Roborock’s top tier models. The next version of its budget-minded offering, the new RockNeo Q2, is getting an upgrade to LiDAR-based navigation so it can maneuver through tight spaces and avoid obstacles without the need for ground wires or an RTK GPS station.

DJI’s next 360-degree camera is soon launching globally with replaceable lenses.

After debuting in China last month, the follow-up to DJI’s first 360-degree camera will launch globally on September 15th starting at €589, but not in the US. The Osmo 360 II features the same dual 1/1.1-inch square sensors as the original but bumps 8K video capture to 60fps with a wider dynamic range to improve low-light performance.

The Osmo 360 II carries forward the original’s 105GB of built-in storage but expands its dynamic range to 14.5 stops and introduces a new AI noise reduction algorithm.
The camera can continuously capture 8k/30fps video for up to 100 minutes, but battery life can be extended with optional accessories including DJI’s Battery Extension Rod.
Similar to Insta360’s 360-degree cameras, an included tool lets users replace damaged lenses on the Osmo 360 II themselves.

This rugged laptop runs on sunshine.

The Oukitel RG14-P includes an integrated solar panel that supports 10W charging, which can recharge the battery to 50 percent within approximately six hours “under optimal sunlight conditions.” There’s no price, but it’s expected to launch in November with a 14th gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB expandable storage, and optionally, a built-in camping light.

The 14-inch laptop also apparently weighs around 3.7 kilograms (8.1 pounds) and features a hot-swappable dual battery system.

I can hear the forklifts whirring.

It must mean IFA Media Days are in full swing. I’m on my way to check out Anker’s press conference, and Dom is going to seek out something that folds somewhere in the basement of the Messe. Keep up with us all day as we track down the hottest new gadgets in Berlin ahead of the show’s official opening tomorrow!

Here’s Xiaomi’s wide 18 Fold.

It’s short, it’s wide, and it’s red. It’s also powered by Xiaomi’s new in-house Xring 03 chip, so it’ll be interesting to see how performance stacks up. Oh, and it’s launching in China on September 7th, which I’m sure has nothing to do with upcoming events in California.

You get a 7.58-inch inner screen, with a squat 5.38-inch outer one.
It’s squat, wide, and passport-shaped, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
I love the red finish, though it’s similar to the rumored new cherry iPhone color.
The 6,000mAh battery is larger than Samsung’s, though the phone itself doesn’t look any bigger.
There’s a 200MP, 1/1.56-inch-type main camera; a 50MP, 3.5x periscope; and a 50MP ultrawide.
Xiaomi’s own Xring O3 chip powers the phone, supposedly delivering similar performance to a Snapdragon 8 Elite.

You can soon color-match your MacBook Neo’s charger.

Satechi announced a collection of color-matched MacBook Neo accessories in July, but not a replacement charger. So Belkin is making its 30W BoostCharge Compact USB-C Charger available in new citrus, blush, indigo, and silver color options later this month for $26.99 to match Apple’s budget-friendly laptop.

Belkin’s 30W USB-C charger will power up your MacBook Neo a little faster than the charger Apple includes.
A 2-meter long, color-matched braided USB-C to USB-C cable is included.
The four new color options include (from left to right) silver, blush, indigo, and citrus.

Belkin’s new magnetic stand sticks your phone to walls, windows, and mirrors.

When folded flat it won’t be as thin as magnetic grips from OhSnap or PopSockets, but Belkin’s new Compact Magnetic Ring Stand adds a suction mount so you can stick your phone to walls, mirrors, windows, dashboards, or any smooth, flat surface that ensures a strong seal. It’s expected to launch in November for $24.99.

The stand is compatible with mobile devices supporting magnetic accessories including several versions of the iPhone, Google Pixel, and Samsung Galaxy phones.

It’s expected to launch later this year in black or white.

You can drive Narwal’s first stick vac right into its auto-empty charging dock.

The Narwal V50 Cube pairs a 5.6-pound stick vac with up to 180 minutes of cleaning time (thanks to a second swappable battery) with a dock that looks inspired by Picasso’s cubism era. The dock can hold up to 100 days of debris, which is blasted with UV light to kill bacteria and reduce odors.

Availability and pricing for the V50 Cube will be announced at a later date.
The dock’s angular design hides an auto-empty mechanism, a UV sterilization system, plus all of the vacuum’s cleaning accessories.
The dock stores and charges a second battery giving the vacuum up to three hours of cleaning time, depending on how dirty your floors are.
Similar to Dyson’s stick vacuums, the V50 Cube features a bright colored light to illuminate dust and debris on the floor.
