Total War studio says they are “investigating” the AI-botched Shogun 2 remaster.

Sega recently pulled the recently-launched Complete Edition of the game, which was made in part by an external developer, after users found bugs and upscaling seemingly done by AI.

“At Creative Assembly we do not use generative AI to create game assets, including AI-generated art,” Creative Assembly’s VP of Total War Roger Collum, said in a big post on Reddit. “We demand the same of any external developers we work with.”

This custom foldable PlayStation 2 handheld is slick but still far from pocketable.

Using a flexible OLED display salvaged from a Royole FlexPai phone, a talented modder has created a folding PS2 handheld (they’ve called the PlayStation 2 Duo) by miniaturing the motherboard inside the original console, adding their own controller hardware, and wrapping it all in an custom enclosure you can 3D print yourself.

Enjoy the chaos of a New York City CompUSA store with this video tour from the year 2000.

For those of us who can still remember heading to a brick and mortar store when it was time to buy a computer or peripherals, this video is a good reminder of what an absolute assault on the senses crowded PC shops were decades ago. Logitech’s new Pebble mouse pops-up for improved ergonomics.

Like its Mobi Fold that debuted last June, Logitech’s new Pebble Up is a wireless mouse that’s adaptable. But instead of folding in half, the upper section of the mouse pops up using a hinge and integrated support so its buttons and scroll wheel are positioned at a more ergonomic angle, similar to the Logitech Lift. The Pebble Up is currently only available from Logitech in China for around $38.

Here’s the first episode of Grok’s “historically accurate” Odyssey.

It was supposed to be a “full-length movie,” but whatever — Elon Musk’s version of Homer’s epic poem has now arrived to take on Christopher Nolan. Just ignore the inconsistency of the character’s faces, historically inaccurate armor, non-functional shield wall, etc…
