TP Link says its first Wi-Fi 8 routers start shipping in October.

The Archer 8 will be TP-Link’s first Wi-Fi 8 router, followed by more Wi-Fi 8 devices launching in 2027. TP-Link claims the new router, coming just a year after its first Wi-Fi 8 prototype connection, will offer better reliability and lower latency compared to Wi-Fi 7.

Balatro’s publisher might get sold to the private equity firm that owns GameSpot.

The proposed deal, in which Playstack would be owned by a subsidiary of Integrated Media Company (IMC), was reported on by Game Developer. IMC also owns brands like Fandom, Screen Junkies, and TV Guide.

An easier way to identify your Xbox controller.

Microsoft is testing a feature for the Xbox Accessories app that shows an image of the type of controller that you’re using in the UI.

The company is also testing a way to set a specific hex color code for your console theme and an indicator that tells you when there’s a confirmed Xbox service issue.

Microsoft is reportedly working on its own AI “super app.”

The app will combine GitHub Copilot, the Copilot chatbot, Copilot Cowork, and a “new agentic workflow capability internally named Autopilot” into one place, Fortune reports. Sounds like a Microsoft version of something like OpenAI’s “super app” ambitions.

Perhaps it will be shown off at Microsoft Build next week?

OpenAI is sunsetting ChatGPT’s Canvas interface.

The feature, which let you edit code or text side-by-side with ChatGPT, will no longer be available with GPT-5.5 Instant or GPT-5.5 Thinking, according to OpenAI. ChatGPT subscribers can still access Canvas for a “limited time” through legacy models.

OpenAI is also trying to make GPT-5.5 Instant’s responses easier to read by trimming their length and cutting down on “bullet-heavy” text.
