Samsung’s Music Sync is getting a deeper integration with YouTube Music.

Music Sync in the SmartThings app can now start your YouTube Music playlist automatically when you hit the button to get your Philips Hue smart lights in sync with the tunes.

Press the Party button to get your Party playlist and party lighting, or opt for Relax, Workout, etc.

However, you’ll need YouTube Premium, a Galaxy device, and Hue smart lights for all this to work.

Microsoft AI’s CEO poaches former Google DeepMind colleagues for a new AI health unit.

The Financial Times reports that Mustafa Suleyman, co-founder of Google DeepMind, has now hired multiple former colleagues to help run a new AI health unit at Microsoft. The former head of DeepMind’s health unit, Dominic King, has been hired as vice-president of Microsoft AI’s new London-based health team. Suleyman recently appeared on Decoder to discuss conversational AI.

Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos spoke during the UBS conference about technical issues that impacted the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight, and said the company is interested in doing more “big scale live events” like the upcoming Christmas Day Games.

“We were stressing the limits of the internet itself that night. So we had a control room up in Silicon Valley that was re-engineering the entire internet to keep it during this fight because of the unprecedented demand that was happening.”

TikTok is challenging Canada’s shutdown order.

The Canadian government ordered the shutdown of TikTok’s Canadian operations last month, though the shutdown wouldn’t bar Canadians from using the app.

“We believe it’s in the best interest of Canadians to find a meaningful solution and ensure that a local team remains in place, alongside the TikTok platform,” TikTok says.
