Rumors that a buyout of Ubisoft is imminent continue apace. According to a report in Reuters, the Guillemot family who founded and currently have a 15 percent stake in the company, is considering a buyout deal that will let them retain control of the company. Right now, Chinese developer Tencent is the likely choice of buyer for the Assassin’s Creed developer.

Microsoft is stepping up its Copilot Plus PC marketing today with a new ad for the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World movie. The 60-second spot features Danny Ramirez’s Joaquin Torres (Falcon) using a Surface Laptop 7 with Paint’s Cocreator AI mode to generate images. Microsoft has been running similar TV ads in recent weeks, claiming that its Qualcomm-powered laptops are somehow “the fastest... Windows PCs ever.”
A federal court overturned an injunction on Thursday that would have forced Apple to allow alternative payment systems and enable sideloading on iOS for Brazilian users within 20 days.
Brazil’s antitrust regulator can appeal the ruling and investigations are still ongoing, which means Apple may still need to introduce similar changes to those it rolled out in the EU.
