YouTube’s algorithm loves feeding AI slop to kids.

After watching popular children’s channels like CoComelon, Bluey, or Ms. Rachel, The New York Times found that more than 40 percent of Shorts recommended by the platform “appeared to contain AI-generated visuals.” YouTube doesn’t require animated AI videos for children to be labeled, placing all moderation burdens on parents instead.

The new new.

David Luan, head of Amazon’s San Francisco AGI lab, is leaving to work on something new. Newer than AGI, that is, which is saying something considering that’s still nonexistent.

poliwhirl08:

Wait, the guy in charge of trying to reach AGI is leaving to “cook up something new”??? AGI doesn’t exist, he was literally already trying to cook up something new.

Uber’s delivery drones take flight in Ireland.

The ridehail company is working with Irish drone company Manna to launch a commercial drone delivery service on the Emerald Island. This is Uber’s first drone delivery deployment in Europe, although the two companies say they plan on bringing their service to more cities in the future. Uber also oversees drone delivery in Dallas, Texas, with Flytrex, while Manna used to deliver Samsung electronics via drone in its home market.

Nvidia keeps riding the AI boom, with Q4 revenue up 73 percent to $68.1 billion.

Nvidia just reported a record $68.1 billion in revenue for Q4 of 2026, up from $39.3 billion last year, with $62.3 billion coming from its data center business alone.

While gaming revenue grew 47 percent to $3.7 billion, it expects supply constraints to continue while it focuses on its big money maker, AI.

Perplexity’s “Computer” is full of AI agents.

It says the new platform “reasons, delegates, searches, builds, remembers, codes, and delivers,” across sub AI agents, creating what Perplexity calls a “general-purpose digital worker” that exists somewhere between OpenClaw and Claude Cowork.

I am once again asking for Samsung to put the magnets in the phones.

Like last year, the Galaxy S26 phones are “Qi2 Ready,” which means you’ll need a magnet case to use Qi2 accessories. Which is fine, I guess, since you were gonna get a case anyway. Fifty bucks seems a little steep, though.
