HBO’s Casey Bloys thinks the streaming bundle was inevitable.

That isn’t a surprise given he works for David Zaslav, who has already started bundling his variety of streaming services and channels together into one super streaming app that replicates cable—right down to the monthly bill.

Meta’s AI chatbots imagine a world where you don’t need friends.

Instead of friends that help you brainstorm your kid’s birthday party or plan your next campaign in Dungeons and Dragons you can interact with chatbots, including one that looks and sounds like Snoop Dog....we think. It didn’t work on stage and Zuckerberg moved on with the presentation.

Which is basically what I do when my friends don’t respond to my galaxy brain texts at one in the morning.

AI-generated stickers are just one of the AI-related tools coming from Meta.

I’m excited to see what kind of abominations I can create with the stickers. We’ve got the story explaining those stickers, and the other tools, right here.

Zuckerberg wants the Quest 3 to be the first mixed reality headset for everyone.

After last year’s Quest Pro kind of flopped you might have thought there would be less discussion of mixed reality and the metaverse, but nope. Zuckerberg opened the Meta Connect developer conference talking about how the Quest 3 is a mixed reality headset for everyone.

Disney’s next animated film has a trailer showing off its blend of animation styles.

Wish is meant to blend modern CGI animation with the gorgeous watercolor animation Disney was originally known for. That should make it similar looking to films like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Those are gorgeously animated films with the latter looking like a hand drawn book brought to three-dimensional life.

Wish definitely has more of a Frozen vibe than that, but you can see sparks of that blended animation in a few moments...in between clips of a goat talking about its butt.

Star Wars jizz is now called jatz.

In a galaxy far, far, away, jazz doesn’t exist. Instead, when you want to really blow on that horn you’re jizzing or jatzing. As AVClub recently noted, both words have technically been used to describe the musical stylings of the Star Wars universe over the years, with jizz gaining in popularity for extremely obvious reasons.

But in a recent short story collection based around Return of the Jedi characters, Max Rebo, the blue alien front man for the band that plays at Jabba the Hutt’s palace thinks back to other times he’s performed “jatz standards”. That means jatz is the official Disney-approved name for the music.

Wookiepedia, meanwhile, continues to embrace jizz.

The Eero Max 7 is Eero’s beefy new router.

There’s a new Eero Max. It will start at $599.99, and have both Zigbee and Thread routers built in. The two 10GB ethernet ports will be capable of wired speeds up to 9.4 Gbps and the router will support up to 200 devices connected at once.
