    It’s alive!

Shazam now supports live activities on iOS, as spotted by 9to5Mac. If you have an iPhone with the Dynamic Island, you’ll see a helpful icon there once you invoke Shazam, indicating that it’s listening. This works even without the dedicated Shazam app.

You already knew your iPhone has Shazam built in, right? Putting that shortcut in the Control Center is one of my favorite iOS hacks.

    Good vibes only.

Android 15’s second public beta introduced customizable vibrations for notifications for different apps.

9to5Google notes Pixel phones go a step further, using the phone’s microphones and sensors to adjust vibration intensity based on your surroundings. Pixel phones are particularly noisy when they vibrate on a hard surface like a table, and this feature seems to address that problem. Now that’s what I call a good vibe.

Screenshots of the adaptive vibration settings screen showing how it could be more intense on some survaces, and less intense on others.

How to care for your AI.

Google is distributing these little handbooks for prompting AI, which is kind of adorable? It has color-coded highlights breaking down the basic components of a prompt. There’s an early internet “How to use a search engine” vibe about it — I’m gonna hang on to this one for posterity.

The sun is out and the vibes are chill.

We’re in our seats at the Shoreline Amphitheatre and about 45 minutes out from the start of Google I/O’s keynote. There’s a DJ on stage and some trippy visuals getting our morning started. Not spotted yet: dancing ducks, like we were treated to last year. Let’s keep it that way, huh?
