Uber Eats is now delivering burritos via Waymo in Phoenix.

Waymo has been offering autonomous rides in Phoenix since late 2022, but now it’s providing transportation for a new kind of customer: your dinner. Starting today, Waymo will start making food deliveries for some Uber Eats customers.

Uber works with a few other companies for autonomous food deliveries in other locations. For now, this program is limited to Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler, and only “select merchants” are included. Taco ‘bout a slow rollout.

The OnePlus 12 plus one AI feature.

OnePlus is stepping into the piping-hot waters of mobile AI. It’ll soon release AI Eraser, a feature that uses Oppo’s own LLM, AndesGPT.

It sounds like a straightforward generative AI photo tool in the style of Google’s Magic Editor, and it’s coming to the OnePlus 12, 12R, 11, Open, and Nord CE 4. I guess the refreshingly AI-free flagship is AI-free no more.

Update April 3rd, 9:45AM ET: Added link and sample images from OnePlus.

    Galaxy AI cometh.

Samsung’s One UI 6.1 update arrives this Thursday, bringing AI features to last year’s devices including the S23 series, S23 FE, Z Flip 5, Z Fold 5, and the Tab S9 series. They’ll get the full suite of AI features announced with the Galaxy S24 series, including Circle to Search and live language translation for phone calls.

It’s all free of charge — at least for now.
