    If you’re a lacking a 3D printer but want Jerrod Hofferth’s adorable Mac Pro-style enclosure for Apple’s new Mac Mini, Zeera’s now selling a similar case made from CNC machined aluminum.

    Available in silver or black for $130, the MacForge makes the Mac Mini’s power button easily accessible while also helping it run cooler with additional heat dissipation.

    Lasers connect this custom wireless surround sound system.

    Most wireless speaker systems compromise sound quality for convenience, but Matthew Perks’ custom setup cuts the cords without any audio compression. It upgrades an optical S/PDIF connection, which typically relies on LEDs and fiber optic cables, with lasers and mirrors that bounce digital audio signals around a room from transmitters to receivers connected to each satellite speaker.

    Another Thunderbolt 5 dock joins the battle.

    Cable Matters’ new 11-in-1 docking station includes four Thunderbolt 5 ports that can drive three 8K displays at 60Hz when connected to a Windows PC, or a pair of 6K/60hz displays when connected to a Mac. For $349.99 the dock also includes three USB-A ports, microSD and SD card slots, and supports Thunderbolt Share.

    Casio’s recreation of its first G-Shock watch is coming to the US.

    The G-Shock DW-5000R — a faithful recreation of Casio’s first durable digital watch — debuted in Japan last week after being announced last month. At the time it wasn’t known if the watch would get an international release, but a new listing on Casio’s US site confirms the G-Shock DW-5000R is coming to America sometime in December 2024 for $200.

    Butterfly brings Bluesky to your Apple Watch.

    Looking for a discreet distraction? You can now browse Bluesky on your wrist with Reuben Catchpole’s Butterfly for Bluesky on the Apple Watch.

    The app is free if you only want to browse feeds, but an optional $2.99 in-app upgrade to Butterfly Pro adds the ability to message other users and even write posts, according to 9to5Mac.

    You can add counterweights to this Apple Vision Pro head strap.

    If anyone knows how to comfortably strap the Vision Pro to your face, it’s a company that makes CPAP masks. RedMed’s Kontor head strap, available in two sizes for $119.95 from Apple, is made from “ultra-premium materials that are gentle on skin” and features a “weight-distributing design” with six adjustable counterweights that help offset the weight of the Vision Pro.
