E Ink supersized the Kindle Colorsoft’s screen to create digital posters.

Although other versions of the company’s e-paper tech are already used as low-power alternatives to LCDs for digital signage, E Ink announced a massive 75-inch version of its Kaleido 3 color displays typically found in smaller devices.

E Ink’s Kaleido 3 Outdoor can display up to 4,096 colors (much less than its Spectra 6 technology) and can be used indoors or out in temperatures ranging from around five to a scorching 149 degrees Fahrenheit.

Did you know Commodore 64 games were once sold on CDs?

Although the company eventually released a PC with a CD-ROM drive in 1991, the Commodore 64’s heyday was long before CD-ROMs became popular. But that didn’t stop Rainbow Arts from releasing a collection of classic C64 games on CD in 1989 with all the data stored as audio files.

An included adapter allowed games to be loaded — very slowly and unreliably, as Wolfgang Kierdorf discovered — using a CD player connected to the C64’s cassette port.

LG is recalling about 500,000 stoves that caused more than 28 fires.

The front-mounted knobs on the recalled electric ranges can be accidentally activated, according to the CPSC. The affected models were sold at Best Buy, Costco, and other appliance stores over the past 10 years, and have been responsible for fires causing “extensive property damage,” minor injuries, and even pet deaths.

Instead of repairs, exchanges, or refunds, owners can contact LG for a free warning label reminding them to use lock out functions that disable the heating elements.

Lufthansa and Virgin Atlantic now let passengers share the location of lost luggage.

Support for Apple’s Share Item Location feature, introduced with iOS 18.2 last December, continues to expand. Following announcements from airlines like United and Delta last year, Lufthansa Group airlines -- which includes Swiss, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings -- and Virgin Atlantic will now let passengers share the location of missing baggage with their customer support teams, potentially expediting a reunion.
