Universal has shared a first look at its resort’s Dark Universe animatronic monsters.

Universal’s Orlando resort is expanding in May, 2025, to include a Dark Universe world with a ride called “Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment” featuring 14 of its “most technologically advanced animated figures.” Ahead of its opening, the resort has shared a short video showing animatronic versions of Frankenstein’s monster and the wolf man moving with eerily lifelike speeds.

Anbernic’s first wireless controller will cost $18.

Earlier in October, Anbernic revealed its first wireless controller — the RG P01 — with features comparable to the $29.99 8BitDo Ultimate 2C, including Hall effect triggers and joysticks.

Anbernic’s gamepad will be an even more tempting alternative to 8BitDo’s budget-friendly controller now that we know it will cost $17.99, or $14.99 if preordered before it’s expected to release on November 12th.

Eufy’s wallet tracker is now rechargeable.

The previous version became e-waste when its battery died after three years, but Eufy’s new SmartTrack Card E30 is rechargeable, with up to a year of battery life between top-ups. For $34.99 it includes a proprietary charging cable, is compatible with Apple’s Find My network, and features a loud 80dB alarm.

If you buy something from a Verge link, Vox Media may earn a commission.

The Raspberry Pi’s new add-on boosts its AI capabilities.

Following its first AI kit introduced last June, Raspberry Pi announced its new AI HAT+ add-on this week. It’s redesigned to give Hailo’s AI processor improved heat dissipation which boosts performance to 26 tera operations per second (TOPS) for $110. The company says that’s enough power to run more sophisticated neural networks in real time, and even several of them at once.

What else can we upgrade with retractable charging cables?

Following leaked images of an Anker car charger with a retractable cable, Baseus has announced a new 5-in-1 desktop charger with a 2.6-foot long USB-C cable that fully retracts when not in use, reducing cable clutter. For $149.99 the charger also includes a wireless Qi2 charging pad, a status screen, and up to 140W of power delivery through one of its additional USB-C ports.

Timex’s new digital ring watch actually tells time.

In 2023, Casio released a collection of ring watches based on its classic timepieces that, disappointingly, didn’t actually work. Timex’s new $180 T80 ring watch does, and includes a stainless steel expansion band so it can be worn on any finger. But since it was made in collaboration with the French luxury brand Maison Margiela, fashion fans have seemingly already bought them all up.
