Hisense’s ultra-short throw laser projector is now Xbox certified.

The company claims its triple laser PX3-PRO is the world’s first UST projector to be “Designed for Xbox.” What that means isn’t entirely clear given the Xbox can’t take advantage of the projector’s 240Hz maximum refresh rate.

More useful may be the $3,499.99 PX3-PRO’s ability to automatically optimize its settings for gaming when it detects a console powering up.

The Hisense PX3-PRO has a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz, but the Xbox doesn’t support it.

Watch this unsettling timelapse footage of a wilderness camera consumed by a wildfire.

I’ve seen videos captured in wildfires before, but this roughly 90-minute timelapse of the California Park Fire approaching and consuming one of UC San Diego’s AlertCalifornia remote cameras really drives home how fast these disasters can spread, and how inescapable it can feel being trapped inside one.

Four hikers were rescued from the British Columbia wildfires using the iPhone’s Emergency SOS feature.

The CBC is reporting that the women stranded by the wildfires while camping were safely rescued by a search and rescue helicopter team after successfully contacting help by sending a satellite text message.

Despite reduced visibility due to heavy smoke, the rescuers were able to reach the hikers who were found “exactly where the cellphone ping said they were.”

The Xyber XPC hides a mini PC inside a tiny Cybertruck.

YouTuber Taki Udon got an early look at a Ryzen 8845HS-powered PC built into a detailed replica of Tesla’s electric truck. It’s got working doors, headlights, ports hidden beneath the rear bumper, and a power button integrated into the truck’s front shocks.

Pre-orders for the Xyber XPC will eventually happen through Indiegogo, but pricing and availability hasn’t been announced yet.
