Sony made the battery easier to replace in its WH-1000XM6 headphones.

In addition to better ANC and the return to a folding design, Sony quietly improved access to the battery in its recently-launched WH-1000XM6 wireless headphones.

During a teardown iFixit discovered the battery is now held in place by two screws instead of double-sided tape like Sony used on previous models, making it relatively easy to access and replace if you’re comfortable disassembling a $450 pair of headphones.

Anbernic is teasing a new handheld with a sliding screen.

Fans of the PSP Go who are still mad at Sony for discontinuing the handheld in 2011 may soon have a consolation prize. Following leaked renders of a mysterious new handheld earlier this month, Anbernic has shared a teaser for an upcoming device it’s calling the RG Slide featuring a sliding screen.

We don’t know much else about the device, or what that sliding screen reveals, but a full reveal could be coming soon.

Sharge’s new USB charger has a retro dot matrix status display.

There’s no word yet on a wider global release, but Sharge has launched a new USB charger in China that trades LCD and OLED screens for a grid of white LEDs on the side showing its charging status. It’s available with 140W of power output and 3 USB-C ports, or 100W that adds an additional USB-A port. The display can rotate at the push of a button so it remains upright and easy to read.

The low-res display on Sharge’s new USB wall charger is easy to read at a distance.
The display can be rotated to accommodate where the charger is plugged in, and its brightness can be adjusted so it’s not lighting up a room while you’re trying to sleep.
