The slow, but steady addition of women’s sports in video games continues. This time it’s NHL 25, which is getting a series of updates over the holidays. November 15th’s will introduce a 3-on-3 arcade mode, while on December 5th all six PWHL teams will be added. It’s right on time: the second PWHL season kicks off at the end of November.
A24 has released another trailer for Y2K, a slasher movie set on New Years Eve 1999. The clip shows a bit more of the household appliances that have turned into killers and, also, there’s a musical remix featuring Bill Clinton. The movie hits theaters on December 6th.
Phil Spencer has been dropping hints about a portable Xbox for some time now. But in a new interview with Bloomberg, he cautioned that, while the company is working on prototypes, the release of an actual handheld is still a few years out.
In August, the longtime Capcom director announced that he was leaving the company after more than three decades and a number of hits, including Devil May Cry and Dragon’s Dogma. Now we know where he’s headed: Tencent’s Lightspeed Studios is opening a Japanese branch, where Itsuno will focus on “original AAA action game titles.” Which is exactly what he’s good at.

Nintendo is about to make yet-another non-Switch 2 announcement, this time showing off the Donkey Kong Country expansion for Super Nintendo World in Osaka. Don’t expect many surprises, though, as the company says “no game information will be featured.” You can watch along with the embed below at 5PM ET.
