    Only murders in the Bodkin.

Netflix is next up in making a fictional series about true crime podcasters. Bodkin is described as a “darkly comedic thriller” set in the titular “idyllic, coastal Irish town,” and it stars Will Forte, Siobhán Cullen, Robyn Cara, David Wilmot, and Chris Walley. It starts streaming on May 9th.

April Fools’ 2024: finally, an esports competition I could win.

    Ape escape.

The new trailer for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes has what all good action movies need: an overhead shot of people being hunted in tall grass. (See Prey, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and X-Files: Fight the Future for more on this subject.) The latest Apes hits theaters on May 10th.

Fresh off some big wins at the Oscars,

Poor Things director Yorgos Lanthimos is already back with his next film, Kinds of Kindness. The first teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much — aside from a stacked cast — but the movie is described as a “triptych fable” that hits theaters on June 21st.

A tiny Elder Scrolls VI update.

Things have been quiet since the game was announced five years ago (aside from some details that came out during the FTC v. Microsoft case last year). But as part of a post about the series’ 30th anniversary, Bethesda did have a little bit to say about the upcoming RPG, noting that “playing early builds has us filled with the same excitement and promise of adventure.” Now we just need a release date — and maybe some gameplay.
