Just in time for the Oscars.

If you’re trying to catch up on the Best Picture nominees ahead of the Academy Awards on March 10th, things just got a little easier as Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things will stream on Hulu starting March 7th.

    Mow down some demons.

The “can it run Doom?” meme has covered everything from lightbulbs to tractors, and now we can add robot lawn mowers to that list. Husqvarna has announced that it’s bringing the classic FPS to its Automower via a free update this spring — though the game will only be playable for a limited window between April and September of this year. Hopefully the Lawnmower Man game is up next.

Issa López is coming back for more True Detective.

Night Country just wrapped up, and HBO has already confirmed that it’s being renewed for season 5, with López returning as showrunner. HBO says that it was the most watched season of True Detective yet, which might explain why it has signed López to a multiyear deal to “create content exclusive to HBO and Max.”

    Playdate, please.

Now that the Playdate is a little easier to actually purchase, Panic is showing off some upcoming games for the handheld. Its next showcase takes place on February 28th, and it’ll feature Mars After Midnight, the next game from Papers, Please and Return of Obra Dinn developer Lucas Pope.

A nature doc, but make it ASMR.

The Apple TV Plus series Earthsounds is exactly what it, well, sounds like: a multi-part documentary that focuses on the soundscapes of the natural world. It’s narrated by Tom Hiddleston and is coming very soon, premiering on February 23rd.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a modern open-world RPG with the soul of 1997

The second game in the remake trilogy expands on the original in terms of both story and gameplay, and — despite a little filler — the additions are very welcome. Plus, it’s still super weird.
