    “Now comes the fun part.”

We already knew that Amazon (and Henry Cavill) was teaming up with Games Workshop on some live-action Warhammer projects. And now that the full agreement has been officially signed, we might actually hear some proper announcements in the near future.

“TV and Film production is a mammoth undertaking,” Game Workshop wrote on its blog. “It’s not unusual for projects to take two to three years from this point before something arrives on screen. Still, things are now properly rolling, and you can bet we’ll bring you all the latest updates and cool snippets as soon as we’re able. “

A nice stay-at-home weekend in entertainment.

OK, yes, Wonka is in theaters, but most of this week’s releases are things you can enjoy from the comfort of your couch.

Barbie is now streaming on Max, and there’s a bunch on Netflix: Yu Yu Hakusho, Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget, Carol and the End of the World, and the final season of Hilda, which I highly recommend if you need something to watch with kids. And if you’re looking for something fun and holiday-themed, Merry Little Batman is on Prime Video.

When it comes to games, the GTA trilogy is now on mobile (it’s free if you’re a Netflix subscriber), God of War has a free roguelike expansion, and the classic cat-collecting game Neko Atsume gets some new life in mixed reality.

This Barbie is streaming on Max.

Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster hit is on Max today, and to celebrate the streaming service got a very appropriate pink makeover. In addition to the movie itself, there are also a bunch of Barbie bonus features. And yes, that includes the “I’m Just Ken” music video.

    Battle royale gets radical.

Fortnite’s annual winter event kicks off today, and it will include one big addition: the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The four brothers (along with April O’Neil) will be hitting the game’s item shop “soon,” according to Epic Games. The best part is they all have Lego minifig styles for playing in the game’s new survival / crafting mode.

    A24 presents: Death Stranding.

The company announced that it has partnered with Hideo Kojima on the live-action film adaptation of his video game in a unique way: with a T-shirt. We still don’t know much about the movie itself, but now Kojima is working alongside the team behind the likes of Dream Scenario, Talk To Me, and Everything Everywhere All At Once. That should be exciting news for a man made out of movies.

A fight for humanity from the comfort of your couch.

If you missed Gareth Edwards’ AI thriller The Creator when it was in theaters, there’s some good news: you can stream it from home over the holidays. The movie hits Hulu on December 20th.
