I mean, of course I’m going to play a skateboarding game with that description. But the new Skate Story trailer has sold me even further. Thankfully I don’t have to wait too long to play: it launches on December 8th.

A trio of SNES games just hit the service, and the most interesting is Mario & Wario, a previously Japan-only puzzle game that requires a mouse to play.
One of my favorite movies out of TIFF this year was No Other Choice, Park Chan-wook’s surprisingly slapstick dark comedy about a man just trying to get a job. You can get a feel for it in the new trailer; it hits select theaters on Christmas before going wide in January.


Ahead of the premiere of season 4 on October 30th — which, of course, introduces Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia — Netflix has released a new Witcher trailer. The new season has more of an ensemble vibe, with Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri all doing their own thing across the Continent.
Next month’s Apple Arcade lineup includes the revamped Football Manager (November 4th), which, among other things, is finally adding women’s teams. Meanwhile, on November 6th the subscription service is adding a pair MySims games and a collection of Toca Boca minigames. Full details here.
The company just released a four-minute-long animated short called “Close To You,” about a small baby and possibly a sentient soother. But it’s unclear right now what the short is for, or if it’s teasing something bigger from Nintendo.
