‘Infamous: First Light’ stars Fetch — yes, they made it happen

Another major gaming trade show has come and gone, and The Last Guardian is nowhere to be seen. The long in development game was absent from Gamescom in Germany this month and, according to Sony, it won’t be at Tokyo Game Show.

Concept artists have a difficult job. Well before production on a game or movie begins, it’s up to them to help define how it will look. They sketch out character designs, paint beautiful backdrops, and just generally try to nail the aesthetic.

The video game silly season is about to start. After a relatively quiet summer, which was highlighted by some fantastic new indie titles, September will kick off a three month period where new AAA games are launching on a seemingly weekly basis.
