    Get in the post-apocalyptic mood.

While we wait for season 2 of The Last of Us on HBO (and maybe, but probably not, a third video game) Sony is putting out a new special edition PS5 controller. It’s covered in TLOU iconography and launches on April 10th — just a few days before the show premieres.

    A little Andor tease.

Following the debut trailer for Andor’s second season, Lucasfilm has released another brief video, with some behind-the-scenes footage and a few new tidbits — including Diego Luna in some cool sci-fi sunglasses. The show starts streaming on Disney Plus on April 22nd.

    Time to update your... PS3?

Sony just issued a new update for the nearly 20-year-old console. This brings the software up to version 4.92 and, as Eurogamer notes, these updates are an annual occurrence to renew the Blu-ray player’s encryption key, so that you can still use the PS3 for watching new movies.

    A whole new (pal)world.

After some big updates and a new publishing label, Palworld developer Pocketpair has another notable announcement: the “pokémon with guns” game is now available on Mac. The new version is “optimized to run natively on Macs with Apple silicon,” according to the studio, and will get Mac-specific dedicated servers later this month.

The Electric State is getting a prequel.

But it’ll be a video game. Netflix is continuing to push its gaming efforts towards tie-ins with its streaming offerings, and the latest example is Kid Cosmo, a puzzle game that launches for subscribers on March 18th, just a few days after The Electric State premieres.

    Rockstar expands down under.

The Grand Theft Auto developer has acquired Video Games Deluxe, a Sydney-based studio it previously partnered with on re-releases of LA Noire and the GTA trilogy. The studio will now be known as Rockstar Australia. No word on what the team will be working on, but maybe they can find a few more places to port GTA V.

    Dragon Quest fore.

Look, I don’t know why Square Enix is making a line of DQ-themed golf products. But I do know I need that adorable slime golf ball whenever it goes on sale.
