Nintendo just updated its Switch Online subscription service with a nice mix of four retro handheld titles: the survival game Survival Kids, sci-fi shooter Gradius: Interstellar Assault, puzzler Kirby’s Star Stacker, and RPG The Sword of Hope.
Universal is opening its latest theme park expansion in Orlando today, which includes the third iteration of Super Nintendo Land, following locations in Osaka and Los Angeles. The park comes at a busy time for Nintendo, which is just about to launch the Switch 2 — but it’s also part of a larger plan to turn it into more than a games company.
Not content to let Fortnite soak up all the mobile hype, Bungie and Netease are reminding folks that they have their own smartphone game in the works with Destiny: Rising. You can pre-register for the game now, but more importantly, we have a short little gameplay trailer.

The next game from Katamari creator Keita Takahashi launches very soon — To a T hits the PS5, Xbox, and PC on May 28th — but you can check it out early with this new Steam demo. I’m still not entirely sure what the game, which stars a kid stuck in a t-pose, is actually about, and this interview with Takahashi in Wired only has me more confused.
If nothing else, the Jurassic Park franchise has done a solid job of coming up with reasons for people to keep returning to dinosaur-infested islands. The latest example is Jurassic World Rebirth, which has Scarlett Johansson searching for some life-saving dino DNA. It also looks like a mix of a number of film franchises — a little Alien, a little Indiana Jones — and it hits theaters on July 2nd.
The excellent puzzle gaming site has slowly been growing with new games and social features, and soon it’s getting a much-requested feature: a mobile app. It’s coming on May 19th for iPhone users, and you can pre-download it right here.
