    PlayStation Plus subscribers can get Dragon Age: The Veilguard free in March.

    On March 4th, subscribers to PlayStation Plus Essential or higher tiers will be able to claim and download Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, and Sonic Colors: Ultimate for free.

    The latest BioWare-made RPG came out just five months ago, but its arrival to PlayStation’s monthly selection of freebies is likely a byproduct of its disappointing sales.

    Steam expands its Daily Deals from four games to six.

    Valve announced in a new blog post that Steam will have six featured Daily Deals instead of four. It also covers how the program boosted sales for games in 2024, and why a “daily” discount lasts a week.

    Extending the discount to run for a week makes the promotion accessible to more players and allows the game to benefit from higher visibility on Top Sellers and other charts throughout Steam.

    I’m having a blast with Asus’s chunky gaming tablet.

    Asus’s new ROG Flow Z13 is available for preorder. I tested a preproduction model as a ridiculous gaming handheld, and I’m working on a review of the final hardware.

    As a 13-inch gaming tablet starting at $2,099.99 ($100 more than announced), the Z13 is a pricey, niche machine that falls somewhere between the Steam Deck and a full-sized gaming laptop. But it’s charming, with impressive real-world performance.

    Elden Ring Nightreign’s network test be testing those networks.

    The Elden Ring Nightreign network tests are underway, but after a rocky early-morning start developer FromSoftware is considering extra sessions. The unapologetically stressful battle royale game has three hour time blocks scheduled through the weekend, though servers for PlayStation struggled and underwent maintenance not long after the 6AM ET start.

    Pokémon Go to the ballgame.

    Niantic and Major League Baseball are bringing Pokémon Go to ballparks across North America for three whole seasons. Beginning on Opening Day, March 27th, each team’s home park will get themed in-game PokéStops, gyms, and routes.

    The New York Mets, Baltimore Orioles, and 11 other teams will even have scheduled Pokémon Go Theme Nights, with wearable in-game home team baseball caps, timed missions, and more.

    Nvidia RTX 50-series laptop preorders start February 25th.

    Nvidia announced in a post on X that laptops running RTX 50-series GPUs will go up for preorder on February 25th. It’s likely that laptop manufacturers will announce shipping dates and further details beyond this small tease soon.

    Hopefully laptops running the new mobile GPUs won’t be as scarce as the recently launched RTX 5090 and 5080 desktop cards.
