Last week, Ubisoft delayed releasing its most recent earnings report and asked European markets to stop trading its shares. This week, the company says it’ll release the report before trading opens on November 21st. So whatever’s going on over there, we’ll find out soon enough.

Indie devs are using anti-gen-AI statements to make their games stand out.
Aspyr has shadow dropped Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on both Nintendo Switch consoles. For the first time, you’ll be able to play the 2013 game that rebooted the Tomb Raider franchise on the Nintendo Switch family of systems.
But if modern Lara with her modern video game conventions aren’t your thing, Aspyr has also released remastered versions of the classic Tomb Raider games as well.
Rebecca Heineman, pioneering game developer and trans LGBTQ+ advocate, has passed away. She was a founder or co-founder of many video game studios including Interplay Productions, and worked on a number of projects including The Bard’s Tale III: Thief of Fate, Dragon Wars, Baldur’s Gate, and much more.
Heineman was profiled in Netflix’s video game documentary High Score for winning the Atari National Space Invaders Championship in 1980, making the United State’s first ever esports champion a trans woman.
Writer and disability advocate Alice Wong has died. She founded the Disability Visibility Project and participated in many other initiatives designed to amplify disabled voices in literature, journalism, politics, and more.
In 2015, she became the first person to visit the White House and meet the president via telepresence robot. She also had a recurring role in Netflix’s Human Resources playing a fictionalized version of herself. She was 51.
Shortly after Wario64 noticed an ESRB listing for Read Dead Redemption rated for current-gen consoles, Rockstar went ahead and made it official with a new announcement trailer. On December 2nd, you’ll be able to play RDR on iOS and Android via Netflix, PS5, Xbox Series, and the Switch 2. Yeehaw.

A report from Kotaku notes that a recent Switch 2 update is causing problems. The 21.0.0 update adds some quality of life tweaks, but according to multiple posts on Reddit and elsewhere, the update has also apparently made some third-party docks stop working that even a full restart won’t fix. It’s unknown whether Nintendo intended the update brick users’ docks or if it was simply an accident.
Ubisoft put out a press release asking European markets to stop trading its shares hours before it was supposed to release its latest earnings report. While halting trade in preparation for pending news isn’t unusual, it does seem like something’s up when you consider its recent Tencent-owned spinoff and rumors the company’s looking for a buyer.
