Things are about to get real weird in Faerun.

Larian Studios keeps giving the people what they want with each Baldur’s Gate 3 update. The most recent patch added a bunch of new kiss animations, some sweet, some very spicy. But there’s one ask from the BG3 community that Larian’s director of publishing says is coming soon: official mod support.

With mod support, patches to the game are less likely to break mods and it’ll be easier overall to make mods for the game. Prime opportunity for some freaky, frightening, or just plain fun additions to the game.

Stop what you’re doing and turn on this Twitch stream right now.

Daft Punk (y’know the French electronica duo with the really cool helmets) is streaming their anime movie Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem on their official Twitch channel right now.

If you’ve never seen it, it’s great. If you’ve seen it a million times, watch it again. Or if you really like Daft Punk’s Discovery album and wonder what it would look like as feature length animated movie, then oh boy have I got a treat for you.

While you were studying the Erdtree, I studied the blade.

They got some Sekiro in my Elden Ring.

Tamoor Hussain from GameSpot noticed that the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has incorporated elements from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. In a part of the new trailer, it looks like a monster (or a Tarnished, can’t tell) is doing some flippy-dippy martial arts nonsense. Turns out it’s a move taken from one of the mini-bosses in Sekiro. Every FromSoftware game incorporates elements from its siblings and it’s neat to see those influences proliferate throughout.

I can’t wait for this DLC to ruin me.

One crab’s trash, is another crab’s condo.

Another Crab’s Treasure, launching April 25th, was announced during today’s Nintendo Partner Direct. In it, you’ll play as a hermit crab who must wear whatever trash he can scavenge from the bottom of the ocean. The different trash homes provide protection as the little crab fights for a treasure that will help him win him back his repossessed shell.

In other words... a cutesy, fun game that hides the nasty realities of capitalism. I expect nothing less from Aggro Crab, the studio who also gave us Going Under.

Several Rareware games return to Nintendo.

During today’s Direct partner showcase, Nintendo revealed that five Rareware games would stealth drop on Nintendo Switch Online today.

Killer Instinct, Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, Snake Rattle ‘n’ Roll, and R.C. Pro-Am are available on Nintendo Switch Online while it’ll take an Expansion Pack subscription to access the fifth game Blast Corps.

I’m at the combination Nintendo Direct / Elden Ring DLC trailer announcement.

The first of today’s big video game announcement events is the Nintendo Direct happening at 9 AM ET. Then, shortly after what Nintendo says will be a 25-minute presentation, FromSoftware will release the first trailer for Elden Ring’s first DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree at 10 AM ET.

It’s gonna be a big day.

Your next Pokémon vacation is on the way.

Netflix has announced that new episodes of Pokémon Concierge are in production. Pokémon Concierge is a too-cute-by-half stop-motion show that lets ‘mons take a well-deserved break from all the brutal prizefighting.

Here’s hoping Mariya Takeuchi returns with another bop for season 2.
