“I’ll be blunt, we’re not profitable.”

In the wake of news that it’d be laying off 500 employees, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy held a livestream in which he discussed what the layoffs mean for the streaming service long term. In the hour-long stream, Clancy answered questions ranging from if he reduced his own salary to offset costs (no), and if Twitch plans on adjusting its cut of subscriptions to earn more (also no).

But one of the biggest (if obvious) reveals in the livestream is that Twitch simply is not profitable.

No items, Fox only, Final Destination.

Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai will soon stop uploading videos to his popular video game development YouTube channel. According to a post on the community page, he says he plans on wrapping up the channel sometime this year while hoping folks continue to watch.

He hasn’t yet announced what he’s working on, but he did note in a previous video that he’s still creating games. Hopefully this means whatever he is working on demands more of his time than creating for a YouTube channel will allow.

You are unserious Kings of the Iron Fist.

Tekken 8 is a little more than two weeks away and if you want to catch up, Bandai Namco’s got you covered with an explainer recounting the major beats of Tekken’s story... with Brian Cox.

As strange as it is to see BAFTA, Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG, and Olivier-award winning Brian Cox hawking a video game that features fighting bears and robot samurai, there’s really no one better suited to explain the absolutely messed up family dynamics of Tekken than Logan “You are unserious people” Roy.

    Tekken 8 launches January 26th.

“We will add sex to the game if we hit 300k followers by the end of the year.”

Is what the developers of Cult of the Lamb promised in a tweet last November. After amassing over 500k followers and clarifying said “sex” wouldn’t change the game’s T for Teen rating, the sex update is finally coming.

The free Sins of the Flesh update will launch on January 16th adding new weapons, quests, cult management activities, and when two followers love each other very much, they can find an egg that will hatch into a new cult member to indoctrinate... err nurture.
