Whether it’s shows like Game of Thrones on HBO Max and The Mandalorian on Disney Plus, or movies like The Batman, Hollywood seems to have fallen absolutely in love with scenes that are so darkly-lit that you can barely see what’s happening on-screen.

It’s hard to imagine how, exactly, studio Khara, Bunkamura, and TST Entertainment’s Stage Evangelion Beyond stage play will manage to channel the anime’s energy across mediums.
But everything about this cryptic trailer for the production suggests that it’s going to be weird and stylish as hell, which is pretty on-brand for the franchise.
