Motorola is expected to reveal its new generation of Razr flip phones soon, and leaker Evan Blass thinks we’re going to see an unusual new finish: wood. He shared a GIF showing off the Razr Plus 2025 (a.k.a. Razr 60 Ultra outside the US) in a light brown wood version, though didn’t add any details — so we don’t know if this is real wood, like in 2014’s Moto X, or something else.
After Apple promised last month to invest $500 billion in the US in the wake of Trump’s recent tariffs, Nvidia is matching suit. CEO Jensen Huang suggests he may be able to splash a few hundred billion on US manufacturing:
“Overall, we will procure, over the course of the next four years, probably half a trillion dollars worth of electronics in total. And I think we can easily see ourselves manufacturing several hundred billion of it here in the US.”
Huang also praised Huawei’s AI efforts, just days after Nvidia launched its own new AI superchips.
Two Chinese streamers, E1uM4y and Sharkov, appear to be the first to have completed a secret level dubbed “Laser Hell” in co-op game Split Fiction. Their reward? First, an in-game video from director Josef Fares congratulating them on a “crazy, crazy achievement.” Then, a promise to fly the first pair to complete the challenge to Sweden to see Hazelight Studio’s next game — a pledge Fares has already backed up on X.
The Realme P3 Ultra just launched in India starting at ₹26,999 (around $315). It comes in three colors, but we’re all about the “Glowing Lunar White” model, which uses a “Starlight Ink Process” to create a soil-textured lunar design that even glows in the dark.
It’s also IP69-rated, has a big 6,000mAh battery, and is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 chipset, but none of that matters as much as a glow-in-the-dark moon.
Investors have reportedly valued the social media giant at the same amount Elon Musk purchased it for in 2022, a sharp jump after it was deemed worth less than $10 billion in September 2024.
Musk’s plum position in the White House might have something to do with X’s perceived change of fortunes, though that hasn’t helped Tesla, which is in the midst of a 50 percent stock slump since December. Bloomberg added to the report later, saying X raised “almost $1 billion in new equity funding” with participation from Musk.
Google’s AI assistant has required sign-in to use it since its demo days as Bard, but that’s changing. 9to5Google spotted that you can now use the basic Gemini 2.0 Flash model through a web browser without signing in, though the thinking, deep research, and personalization models require an account, as do file uploads and conversation history.
Login-less Gemini is available now, though not in the UK and Europe, where login is still required.
