    Gemini Earn customers will finally get most of their funds back.

    People who participated in Gemini’s lending program, which suspended withdrawals in the wake of the FTX collapse, will get “approximately 97 percent” of their money. Perhaps predictably, the Earn program also had some legal issues.

    Google will build new undersea cable to connect Australia and Africa.

    There are relatively few undersea internet connections to Africa, says Bloomberg. The cable will start in Kenya, going south over land through several other countries before dropping undersea to connect to Australia.

    Building and maintaining the undersea internet is more difficult than you’d think.

    Inside the trip so turbulent that one person died (probably from cardiac arrest), The injuries were severe:

    At one of the hospitals where many of the victims were taken, six were found to have skull and brain injuries, and 22 suffered injuries of the spine or spinal cord. Some patients have shown signs of paralysis, though it isn’t yet known if the damage is permanent.

    Live Nation is facing a DOJ antitrust lawsuit, WaPo reports.

    The announcement could come as soon as Thursday. Live Nation, which owns Ticketmaster, calls itself “the largest producer of live music concerts in the world.” It’s one of many agents of consolidation that drastically reshaped music.
