    The MyPillow guy’s lawyers got fined for using false AI-generated citations.

    The attorneys defending MyPillow founder Mike Lindell in a defamation case (which he lost) were ordered to pay $3,000 each for putting AI-generated misquotes and “citations of cases that do not exist” in a brief submitted in February, as reported by ArsTechnica.

    More and more lawyers are getting caught — and punished — for including AI hallucinations in their work, and this trend will likely only continue to grow.

    A new bill would ensure that the military has the right-to-repair its own equipment.

    Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Tim Sheehy (R-MT) have introduced the Warrior Right to Repair Act of 2025, which would force contractors to give the Department of Defense “fair and reasonable” access to repair parts, tools, and information.

    Earlier this year, Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll committed to adding right-to-repair provisions in existing and future contracts with manufacturers. This bill would extend the policy to other branches of the military.

    Google is bringing AI Mode outside the US.

    Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced that users in India will now be able to access AI Mode in Search, a chatbot-style search feature that provides AI-generated responses based on sources across the web. The feature is still only available in English for now.

    Sleep Detection spotted in iOS 26 beta.

    The third iOS 26 developer beta includes a new Sleep Detection feature for AirPods that allows them to “sense when you fall asleep and automatically pause media.” 9to5Mac first rumored this feature last month, which some users saw in the second iOS 26 developer beta as well.

    AI “hyperscaler” CoreWeave will acquire Core Scientific for $9 billion.

    CoreWeave, which has multibillion-dollar cloud computing deals with OpenAI and Microsoft, has announced plans to buy Core Scientific, a digital infrastructure provider for crypto mining and AI. CoreWeave says the acquisition will help “enhance operating efficiency and de-risk our future expansion.”
