A Netflix bundle with Max or Disney Plus probably won’t happen.

In Netflix’s earnings report today, the streamer says bundling with other services like Disney Plus and Max “limits the benefit” to Netflix:

We haven’t bundled Netflix solely with other streamers like Disney+ or Max because Netflix already operates as a go-to destination for entertainment... This has driven industry leading penetration, engagement and retention for us, which limits the benefit to Netflix of bundling directly with other streamers.

When asked about bundling with competitors on Decoder in June, Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters said “never say never.”

Meta has considered investing billions into eyewear giant EssilorLuxottica.

That’s according to the Financial Times, reporting that Meta is looking to further its partnership with EssilorLuxottica, the owner of Ray-Ban and so many other eyewear brands.

The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses released last year now support multimodal AI to identify what wearers are seeing. They also sold more in a few months than the previous pair did in two years, according to EssilorLuxottica’s CEO.

    Cops covet Cybertruck.

The police department in Anaheim, California, apparently wants to “be the first” with a Cybertruck, according to an email sent to Tesla modification company Up.Fit and obtained by 404 Media.

Up.Fit has already shown what a Cybertruck for police use may look like. The Anaheim PD later confirmed to 404 Media that the email was “a joke” but that it would still like a Cybertruck for “community engagement.”
