Even though Apple is steering Windows users toward its new Apple Music app, it’s still pushing updates to its aging iTunes app on the operating system. The new iTunes version 12.13.2 fixes an exploit that could cause “unexpected app termination or arbitrary code execution.”

Apple designer Duncan Kerr has left the company.
Bloomberg reports that Kerr, who has been with Apple since 1999, has informed the company that he plans on leaving. Kerr worked on the same team as designer Jony Ive and helped develop “several generations” of the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Other members of Ive’s team, including hardware designer Evans Hankey, have also left Apple following Ive’s departure in 2019.

Chime must pay $4.55 million for taking too long to refund customers.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) ordered the online banking service to pay the penalty after customers waited “weeks or months” to access their funds after closing their accounts.
Chime will pay $1.3 million to customers affected by the delays, while the remaining $3.25 million penalty will go toward the CFPB’s victims relief fund.
