You might’ve seen an image floating around on X that appears to show an email from Google about it “sunsetting” Gmail in August 2024. The email is a fake, and Gmail isn’t going away — unless you count the basic HTML view, which Google is actually getting rid of this year.
Tim Burke faces 14 federal charges in connection to an alleged hack on Fox News, which leaked unreleased portions of a Tucker Carlson interview where West went on an antisemitic rant. The indictment claims Burke and a co-conspirator used “compromised credentials” to “access and save protected commercial broadcast video streams,” according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Following an FBI raid on Burke’s home last year, his lawyers argued he accessed the video feed with no username or password required. “It’s not hacking, it’s just good investigative journalism,” Michael Maddux, Burke’s lawyer, told the Tampa Bay Times on Thursday.

After issuing recalls in Canada, Spain, the UK, and other countries last month, Ikea has recalled its Åskstorm 40W USB charger in the US. The charger’s cable is prone to breaking over time, which can pose burn and electric shock risks. You can return the charger to Ikea for a full refund, whether you have the receipt or not.
Last year, Microsoft mistakenly leaked plans for a disc-less Xbox Series X, but it appears physical media is still on the table. In an interview with Stephen Totilo’s Game File, Xbox boss Phil Spencer says the company’s “strategy does not hinge on people moving all-digital.” He adds that “getting rid of physical” is “not a strategic thing,” either:
We ship games physically and digitally, and we’re really just following what the customers are doing. And I think our job in running Xbox is to deliver on the things that a majority of the customers want. And right now, a majority of our customers are buying games digitally.
Jack Sweeney, a college student who uses public flight data to track jets belonging to celebrities like Swift and Elon Musk, has refuted the singer’s claims that his flight tracking accounts on social media cause her “direct and irreparable harm.”
In a letter to Swift’s legal team, Sweeney’s lawyer says “there is nothing unlawful” about the “use of publicly accessible information to track private jets,” adding that the threats “suggest a groundless effort to intimidate and censor” Sweeney.
Apple doesn’t sell a stand for the Vision Pro, so developer Christian Selig took it upon himself to create one — just like the unofficial YouTube app he made for the headset, too.
