Apple is reportedly moving toward ending its partnership with Goldman Sachs.

The iPhone maker sent a proposal to Goldman Sachs asking to terminate their partnership within the next 12 to 15 months, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal.

Goldman Sachs currently issues the Apple Card and powers the company’s savings accounts. However, recent reports suggest their partnership isn’t going all that well, and Goldman Sachs has reportedly explored offloading the Apple Card onto American Express.

The live game experience that never was.

This deep dive from Polygon explores what happened when Niantic, the creators of Pokémon Go, teamed up with the theater company Punchdrunk, to develop an in-person game that blended tech and the surrounding environment.

But the experience, which involved having players interact with actors on the street and looking for hidden objects, never came to fruition due to concerns about safety and costs:

“The number one challenge was always safety,” wrote former general manager of Niantic’s Los Angeles studio Greg Borrud in an email interview with Polygon. “We were always looking for ways to push the limits while still keeping safety at the forefront. We knew we had to test the boundaries to see where they were during development. But we also knew we had to reel things back in as we looked to put a live product out there.”

Plex users have some valid concerns about its new activity-sharing feature.

Earlier this month, Plex officially introduced its new Discover Together feature, which shares what you’ve been watching, discussing, or rating with friends on the service and vice versa.

As pointed out by 404 Media, some users were caught off guard by the “discover together” emails they found in their inbox, with one user saying: “I wonder how many people just had their week’s porn selections emailed to their Plex friends. I just got an email about a friend’s watching habits which he definitely didn’t want to share.”

Bumble and Match are suspending ads on Instagram.

The two dating companies paused advertising on the platform after The Wall Street Journal found their ads appearing next to explicit and child-sexualizing content in Reels feeds.

The WSJ got this information by setting up test accounts that followed young gymnasts, cheerleaders, and influencers. When looking through Reels, the outlet discovered that Instagram surfaced “served jarring doses of salacious content to those test accounts, including risqué footage of children as well as overtly sexual adult videos” alongside ads for major brands, including Match, Bumble, Disney, and Walmart.

The app will now display suggested emoji that you can use as replies, which should hopefully mean less scrolling through your recently-used list.
