In a post on WeChat, China’s Ministry of State Security accused the US of breaking into Huawei’s servers and carrying out “tens of thousands of malicious network attacks,” while also stealing “high-value data” since 2009.
In 2020, the US government deemed Huawei a national security risk and cut off the company from American-made chip tech, which Huawei responded to by seemingly creating a 5G chip of its own.
