The next Gboard update could include AI-powered proofreading and more.

As reported by 9to5Google, Google is gearing up for a big Gboard update that could let you use AI to check for spelling mistakes, grammar, and punctuation. It might also give you the ability to use AI to adjust the tone of your text — similar to the “Help me write” feature in Gmail and Docs — as well as generate emoji stickers using a text prompt.

Additionally, 9to5Google found that the update could include new stylus gestures when using Gboard’s handwriting feature, allowing you to cross words out to delete them and draw a caret to insert new text. Gboard 13.3 is still in beta, and it’s still unclear when it’ll be available to everyone.

Amazon’s drone delivery operations lost two leaders in the past month.

Jim Mullin, Amazon Prime Air’s chief pilot, left Amazon last month, according to an update to his LinkedIn profile spotted by CNBC. Meanwhile, Robert Dreer, Prime Air’s head of test flight operations, announced his departure on LinkedIn last week.

Amazon has been struggling to get its drone delivery program off the ground. While the company projected it would send 10,000 deliveries by the end of this year, CNBC reported that it had only made 100 deliveries as of May.

Disney reportedly launched a task force to find ways to save money using AI.

The entertainment giant is looking into ways it can apply AI across its entire business, according to a report from Reuters. A source tells the outlet that Disney could use AI to lower the costs of its movie and TV productions, while also enhancing experiences at its parks.

We might hear more about this from Disney CEO Bob Iger on Wednesday, as that’s when Disney is supposed to report its quarter three earnings results.
