That’s apparently the phrase smaller companies use when Apple takes an interest in one of their products or features, according to this report from The Wall Street Journal. Over the years, Apple has faced numerous lawsuits from companies and developers that allege Apple stole their ideas after first wanting to work with them.
“When Apple takes an interest in a company, it’s the kiss of death,” one founder tells the WSJ. “First, you get all excited. Then you realize that the long-term plan is to do it themselves and take it all.”
