VRV is shutting down.
The anime streaming service has announced that it will merge with its parent company, Crunchyroll, on May 3rd. VRV says it will carry over your watch history and queue, and that you can subscribe to Crunchyroll for the same price.
With the Sony-owned Crunchyroll also absorbing the content of Funimation (although it hasn’t made the decision to shut it down just yet), it seems we have fewer dedicated anime streaming options than ever.
