Garmin’s new boat-focused smartwatch supports chartplotter voice commands.

The upgraded Quatix 8 starts at $1,199.99 for the 47mm model, offering an AMOLED display with a scratch-resistant sapphire lens, titanium bezel, and up to 16 days of battery life (or up to 29 days on the $1,299.99 51mm option).

Unlike its less expensive predecessor, the Quatix 8 has a built-in speaker and mic that lets you use voice commands to control Garmin chartplotter functions, take calls, and respond to texts. It can also serve as a remote for compatible Garmin trolling motors.

FICO’s new credit scores include data from BNPL loans.

The scoring models, which incorporate loan history from buy now, pay later services, like Klarna, Affirm, and Afterpay, will exist alongside FICO’s standard credit score.

FICO trained the models on over 500,000 BNPL loans from Affirm, and users with five or more loans “typically saw their scores increase or remain stable,” according to the WSJ. However, the publication notes that credit bureaus still have to decide whether to share this information with borrowers and lenders.

Walmart’s enhanced AR tool helps employees find clothes to stock on the sales floor.

The retailer is building RFID into its AR tool, VizPick, allowing employees to quickly scan clothing racks in the backroom and visually see which pieces of apparel they need to move to the sales floor. Walmart is currently testing this feature in some of its stores.

There’s also a new AI-powered tool for overnight stockers that’s supposed to help workers decide what to prioritize during their shifts, along with a revamped AI assistant to provide workers with more detailed answers to a wider range of questions.
