Trump shed some light on his meeting with Tim Cook.

Cook visited President Trump yesterday, and speaking to governors at the White House, Trump seemed to say that Cook told him that Apple is “investing hundreds of billions of dollars,” as transcribed by CBS News’ Jennifer Jacobs. I’m guessing Trump is referring to some kind of investments Apple is making in the US.

I’ve pinged Apple for comment. You can listen to Trump’s comments in context in this video.

LG’s monitors will be Xboxes, too.

LG is expanding its Gaming Portal from smart TVs to “additional markets, platforms and devices — including LG Smart Monitors and StanbyME lifestyle screens,” according to a press release. The service will come to those new platforms “by the second quarter of this year.”

The Gaming Portal lets you access services like Nvidia’s GeForce Now, Amazon Luna, and, soon, Xbox Cloud Gaming.

    See you at the Warehouse.

A new sign in Black Ops 6 is very heavily hinting toward a March announcement of the rumored Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 remaster. Microsoft-owned Activision owns both the Call of Duty and THPS franchises, so the cross-promotion makes some sense. The THPS and Xbox X accounts are being coy, too.

The biggest clue? The date on the sign is 03.04.25.

Meta has opened waitlists for community notes.

As spotted by Engadget, Meta’s community notes website has links to sign up for waitlists for Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. Meta plans to phase in community notes “over the next few months,” according to the website.

Meta also shared some images on Threads showing how writing community notes will look, and I’ve added those to the below gallery.

Update: Added images from Meta’s Threads post.

Meta has a new fund for Horizon Worlds creators.

The company is launching a $50 million fund and early access to a desktop editor for Horizon Worlds, its 3D social platform for mobile and VR.

“Each month, we’ll pay out bonuses from the Creator Fund to the makers of fun and engaging mobile and [mixed reality] worlds,” Meta says. “Bonuses will be tied to worlds’ contributions to the overall ecosystem across time spent, retention, and in-world purchases.”

Netflix is working on the Sifu film.

Netflix has “come aboard” the in-development live-action movie adaptation of Sifu and selected a screenwriter, Deadline says. The adaptation was initially announced in late 2022, but there’s still no indication of if or when it might be released.
