    The US has been working on an online portal at “freedom.gov” that would let Europeans see content their governments have banned, Reuters reports. A planned launch last week was apparently delayed, and State Department officials have expressed concerns about the project.

    Freedom.gov currently links to a Cloudflare Access page with the National Design Studio logo.

    Epic is acquiring a company that makes AI tech for animating digital humans.

    Meshcapade’s team will join Epic Games’ AI Research team and contribute to technologies for Unreal Engine and the hyperrealistic MetaHumans.

    Lockdown Mode is “not necessary” for most people and “tightly constrains how ChatGPT can interact with external systems to reduce the risk of prompt injection–based data exfiltration,” according to OpenAI.

    The Apple Vision Pro is getting foveated streaming, which is Valve’s fancy trick for the Steam Frame.

    I was impressed with foveated streaming on the Steam Frame, which, when you’re interacting with games streamed to the headset, renders what’s right in front of your eyes at the highest fidelity. I hope it’s just as good on the Vision Pro.

    Unity plans to let developers “prompt full casual games into existence” with AI.

    Despite developers being increasingly skeptical of generative AI, “AI-driven authoring is our second major area of focus for 2026,” Unity CEO Matthew Bromberg said in earnings remarks reported on by Game Developer. The company plans to reveal more about the new prompting tools at the GDC Festival of Gaming in March.

    Should Anthropic get the designation, “anyone who wants to do business with the U.S. military has to cut ties with the company,” Axios says. The two sides have apparently been negotiating for months over how the military can use Anthropic’s AI tools.

    It’s a new feature showing up in the app as part of the first iOS 26.4 developer beta, as reported by 9to5Mac.

    The beta also includes a new “Playlist Playground” feature that uses Apple Intelligence to make a playlist from a text prompt.
