Here’s a few more things I wanted to share about Roblox.

In addition to Tuesday’s news that Roblox is asking employees to return to its offices, I have a few other Roblox tidbits you might be interested in.

🎮 Roblox launched on PlayStation last week, and it already has more than 10 million downloads, spokesperson Samantha Spielman tells The Verge.

😀 The company published a long blog post on Tuesday about how it’s “evolving” its avatar technology to make it more modern. It’s an interesting read, though there’s no news.

📺 Earlier this month, the company added the ability for developers to include short videos into their experiences. I worry this feature could be used for bad, but the company says videos must adhere to its community standards.

    It’s over 6000 (days old)!!!

The classic “It’s Over 9000” meme is celebrating its 17th birthday, according to Know Your Meme.

If you were wondering, the meme will truly be over 9000 (in that it will be 9,001 days old) on Monday, June 8th, 2043, Google tells me. Yes, I have marked that day on my calendar.

Amazon is dipping its toes into passkeys.

Amazon is the latest company to introduce a passkey option for logging in, but according to “passkeys-as-a-service” startup Corbado, the implementation has some room for improvement. You can’t use passkeys with Amazon’s native apps, Corbado says, and if you already have two-factor authentication set up, you still have to enter a 2FA code.

Amazon, in a statement to TechCrunch, says that it’s “in the early stages of adding Passkey support for Amazon.com to give customers another secure way to access their accounts. We will have more to share soon.”

You can turn on passkeys from your account settings > Login & security > click the “Set up” button on the “Passkey” row.
