Apple is going to announce on Tuesday that it will offer independent repair shops parts, tools, and documentation for Apple product repairs “at fair and reasonable prices” across the country, according to Reuters, which cites the White House.
The White House is hosting a right-to-repair event at 3:30pm ET, so it seems like that’s the place where this will be announced.
Annapurna Interactive and iam8bit teamed up on a massive collection of 12 games for the Nintendo Switch that are all packed onto a single cart for $199.99: Donut County, Gorogoa, Hindsight, I Am Dead, If Found..., Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition, Neon White, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Solar Ash, The Artful Escape, The Pathless, and What Remains of Edith Finch.
The collection comes with a few other perks, too, like a console case. There will only be 2,500 copies available, so get your preorder in now if you want it.
Pebble, a Twitter alternative formerly known as T2, will be shutting down as of November 1st, according to co-founder Gabor Cselle.
“We weren’t growing fast enough to convince investors of a breakout,” Cselle wrote. “With many alternatives in the space, the challenge was even greater. We needed more investment and time to fully realize Pebble.” The service topped out at 3,000 daily active users, TechCrunch reports.
Maybe Pebble is a cursed name?
The new options include more hair colors and the ability to create a two-toned hairstyle, according to a Meta blog post. You can read more about the options in my article from September when Meta announced the upgrades. (It has been rolling out the changes since then.)
That said, Meta has eyes on making Threads a billion-user social network, so I think we might just have to get used to seeing Threads posts in other Meta apps.
It was scheduled to debut in June 2024, but it’s now set to release on May 23rd, 2025, according to The Hollywood Reporter. I didn’t say “Part Two” in my headline because apparently this sequel is getting a new subtitle. (Smart choice!)
