    More Resident Evil 4.

Capcom has added the arcade-y Mercenaries mode as free DLC to the excellent Resident Evil 4 remake. I’m excited to play it, though I dread having to face more chainsaw-wielding zombies.

In the future, Capcom will be releasing a VR mode for the game on PSVR 2. And it seems likely we’ll get a remake of the Ada Wong-led Separate Ways DLC at some point, too.

Some ad execs aren’t thrilled to hear from Elon Musk.

The Twitter CEO will be speaking at a big marketing conference next week, but according to an email thread obtained by Semafor, some board members of the group putting on the event aren’t exactly fans of his:

“For many communities, his willingness to leverage success and personal financial resources to further an agenda under the guise of freedom of speech is perpetuating racism resulting [in] direct threats to their communities and a potential for brand safety compromise we should all be concerned about,” wrote McDonald’s chief marketing and customer experience officer, Tariq Hassan. “Further, all of us who lead our brand’s investments across platforms were required to navigate a situation post-acquisition that objectively can only be characterized as ranging from chaos to moments of irresponsibility.”

Not a good sign for a company that could really use some advertisers.

    The Doge is gone.

Twitter had replaced its iconic bird logo with a Doge icon in parts of Twitter earlier this week, but as of a few minutes ago, the cheeky Shiba Inu has finally disappeared for me and a few other Verge staffers. Good riddance, I missed the bird.

I never thought I’d be so happy to see the bird.

The Minecraft movie finally has a release date, but it’s two years away.

The film, which was announced in 2014 and originally given a 2019 release date before hitting delays, will release in theaters on April 4th, 2025, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jason Momoa will star — perhaps he’ll be a really buff Steve?

You can now play Celeste on Playdate.

Well, Celeste Classic, but it’s a Playdate version of the game that eventually became the excellent indie hit Celeste. It’s an unofficial port, but I’ve really enjoyed the five or so levels I’ve played and I think it looks great on the Playdate’s black-and-white screen. And if you want to play the classic Celeste Classic on your computer, you can do that on Itch.io.
