They’re celebrating in Splatoon 3 with a Zelda-themed Splatfest in May. But really, there’s only one team worth joining: #TeamPower.

Horizon Forbidden West’s DLC, Burning Shores, comes out on Wednesday, and Sony just released a great-looking launch trailer for the game. I can’t wait to play it.
But I understand if the release might have slipped under your radar. In what has become something of a tradition for Horizon launches, a different open-world game is stealing the games industry’s attention. At least you’ll have a few weeks to beat Burning Shores before the new Zelda is out on May 12th.
I really recommend reading the whole thing, it’s not long.
Moderation should be a composable, customizable piece that can be layered into your experience. For custom feeds, there is a basic default (only who you follow), and then many possibilities for custom algorithms. For moderation as well, there should be a basic default, and then many custom filters available on top.
Bluesky is currently invite-only on iOS. I have access and am working on a piece about it — stay tuned.

After Lee’s murder last week, Musk tagged District Attorney Brooke Jenkins in a tweet asking if the city would be taking stronger action to “incarcerate repeat violent offenders.”
But San Francisco officials said Thursday that the arrested suspect knew Lee.
As reported by NBC News:
“Reckless and irresponsible statements like those contained in Mr. Musk’s tweet — that assumed incorrect circumstances about Mr. Lee’s death — served to mislead the world in its perceptions of San Francisco,” Jenkins said.
The statements, she continued, “also negatively impact the pursuit of justice for victims of crime, as it spreads misinformation at a time when the police are trying to solve a very difficult case.”
I missed this news last week, but total attendance to Metaverse Fashion Week fell 76 percent year-over-year, reports The Block:
Fashion Week attendance on Decentraland dropped to 26,000 from 108,000. Barely more than 1,000 people were online simultaneously during the four-day event.
I’m not surprised — the event was pretty bad.
According to MacRumors, a button will indeed replace the mute switch, but the long-rumored unified volume rocker isn’t happening. Instead, the iPhone 15 Pro line will apparently have two separate volume buttons. The news follows analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s report that Apple would not use solid-state buttons for the volume and mute buttons.
Basically, it seems like the only major difference to expect from that side of your iPhone is a mute button. Hopefully Apple treats it like the Apple Watch Ultra’s Action Button.
Twitter wants to let users offer newsletters as part of the company’s rebranded Subscriptions offering. That would have been a lot easier to do if it hadn’t just closed its own newsletter platform!
